I can't risk loving
But i can't stop wishing.
The pieces of my heart
Have barely fused
Yet now you threaten it again
With this ruse.
For half a year
I abstained from this...
This ache,
This pain,
This curse.
I don't know,
I can't tell
Which is worse.
This ache,
This pain
This curse of love...
Tell me sweet angel
Will you love me
Till the end
Or set me free
Like the crippled dove?
Cover me,
Overwhelm me,
Envelope me,
Shield my broken heart
Away from
This ache,
This pain,
This curse of love.

lol~ i dunno when i wrote it. i was going thru this
huge stack of papers to pack into my new book shelf and i found this one a scribbled notebook paper with my signature at the end. i cringed when i saw this because it just showed me how insipid i can get sometimes. i have a strong belief that this was written in feburary tho but i have no idea what, or more appropriately who, inspired me to write that. but writing is still writing. it just occurred to me that out of the 4 poems i've written in my entire life. all of them revolve around love or rather the hate that can generate from it. yucks. -grossed out-
anyway, i found something else. it was a sheet of foolscap paper with quotes from some of my classmates on the topic of poly/bigamy. Some of them are really really smirk/giggle-inducing.
yeuai: Men should not be allowed to marry more than 1 wife because men are greedy! Polygamy is RUBBISH! lol~ men
are greedy. but the thing is, what makes yeu ai think that the law is enough to stop a man from having more than one wife? -_^
gennie: Men should not be allowed to have more than 1 wife but women should be allowed to have more than 1 husband! lol~ this really shows gennie's character. no. im not saying that gennie's a flirt. i'm just saying that gennie's really generous with affection
if you can it that is. i'm betting tho, that gennie would push for lesbian marriages if possible and bring her obsession with yeuai another level up. lol~ another thing is, gennie can be quite feministic at times. power to u girl! i so totally agree with gennie.
MALE INFERIORITY DOMINANCE HAS HAD ITS PRIME!!! IT'S TIME FEMALE SUPERIORITY STOP RESTING ON IT'S HEELS AND TAKE OVER!!! lol~
haikel: Better to have one. When you can afford another one, then you have a choice of marrying another one under the consent of your wife. this quote evoked a smirk from me. i wonder if most guys have this thinking...that
FINANCE comes before
MORALITY and
FIDELITY. since im cynical and feministic, i'm gonna say
yes, absolutely. i wonder if haikel wld be faithful if he was rich...hmm...
huda: It's okay. Nobody belongs to anyone (great advice for those who tend to be a little more posessive and those who are kinda meek)
so my husband can go and marry another one if he wants to...but that will never happen because I'm gonna take such good care of my husband that he won't go running to look for another one. i love this quote from huda. it displays such inate self-confidence. and self-confidence is sexay. -sluuuurrrppp-
larry: good larh. i dunno what larry meant by this exactly. but larry is one weird feller. it's kinda difficult to understand his humour. i guess you cld say its an acquired taste, one that all of us seem to have liked nowadays. hehz.
jingyi: It is normal for that to happen. nan ren san qi si qie shi tian jing di yi de. ( for men to take 3 wifes and 4 concubines is natural ) when i told him that every quote i jot down was going into my project, jingyi added:
but i don't approve of it larh. It'll be unfair to the woman. -snort- rite. sure. -rollseyes- but really. i hope he was serious that he didnt approve of it if not...woe the woman who marries him.
mrs chiu: I oppose to it - it would cause a lot of domestic friction. good ol' dependable logical rational mrs chiu. no wonder she's an Amaths teacher. i can't ever be one. not rational enough. hehz.
chinghong: The more the merrier! i wonder if chinghong applies it to her sex life. -winkwink- lol~ chinghong's pretty adventurous.
but even with the law of monogamy in secular states, will polygamy still cease to exist?
