There are many important periods in a girl's life. The first one, has to be the first month of our lives. We most likely cannot remember any part of it. But our doting parents/relatives can probably describe everything in FULL DETAIL and still be able to make you roll your eyes at how your father/mother/aunt/uncle had fawned and cooed over you.
The second would be the first year. it is the first anniversary, out of many others to come, of our birth. You might have the vaguest memory of eating this huge cake in the shape of a number "1" with aqua-blue and white cream all over until you felt queasy. The next year would be your 3rd. when you start nursery. where you begin to learn how to interact with other kids and learn the meaning of 'sharing'. where the smallest thing like not being able to use everything you want and not hving the teacher at your beck and call, can set off a super loud whiny screaming bawling tantrum.
When you're 6, u step inside your first education institute where everything is unfamiliar and u learn the art of buying food in your canteen with your parents, camera in hand, helping to direct you so you can give the stall vendors an adequate amount of money and receive change properly, to say your "P"s and "Q"s to the vendors for selling you the food.
Other important periods include the time when you begin your menstruation the mark of maturity and womanhood, the time you shared your first kiss, the time some fugly bugger broke your heart, the time that you heard the first rotten rumour about you that was spreading around school, the time when you had to deal with betrayal etc etc.
Sixteen. 16. wot a wonderful number. no wonder they call it sweet sixteen. this is when you hit the mid of your teens. 15 sounds like a really faraway number and 17 seems a more attainable goal. No more getting locked outside cinemas for not being old enough to watch NC-16 movies ( not that
that every happened to me cuz i sneaked in with my sister's bus pass. ) no more fear of being checked everytime you step into a pool room. no more being illegal for sex. -grinz&wiggleeyebrows-
i recently just past my sweet 16. and i must say, the minute the clock struck twelve, my biological clock seems to have struck a form of maturity and immaturity. Don't ask me why.
I seem to have a bit more insight and to be more laid back. Yet my sense of humour seems to be growing as i see the funnier side of things more and more, hwich means i get lamer and punnier. I swear, my lamosity has hit an all time high. If it gets any higher, i mite actually be tall. hmm... not a bad idea i must say.
first, i must do a few thank yous. ( aha! lessons handy from p1 of thanking the stall vendors.)
To aisyah, nana, aishah, and nas: Thankiew for your award and trophy. Seeing the label "Sex Bomb" blew me away. ( geddit? bomb? blew? -guffaws-)
To nana (again) and faz: Thankiew for the "head" key chain you gave me. You said i didnt quite like girly stuff ( which is rather true, tho i do like some) and indeed, though quite gross, I must say its a very uh..masculine present. Wherever u got it tho, don't let my sisters noe. they wanna write to the newspapers to close the shop down. Lol. Thankiew for your wonderful day u spent with me on the 28th of august 2004 saturday. the murtabak was yummy and my first pooling experience was a blast.
To slayer: thankiew for your carribeana. ( is that how u spell it? ) but tt's not a birthday gift. i still want a proper one.
To sam: thankiew for your sweet sms on my birthday. it let me noe that you didnt forget me.
To every other well-wisher eg (yeuey. iz. charmaine. siim ynn. etc etc): thankiew. becuz from tt small gesture that i received i have felt loved and remembered. (but don't think you can escape from buying me a present after prelims. buahaha.)
i must do a self reflection. tag me and correct me if i am wrong.
i am finally sixteen. i have been loud, obnoxious, mean, bitchy, slutty, arrogant, full of sexual innuendoes, and rather crass. i have been self righteous, rash, sarcastic, condescending, dry, lame and a huge hypocrite. And if given a chance, i would have no doubt that
everyone wld want to give me a tight slap. I have indeed tried to change for the better by not swearing and to keep my sexual innuendoes to a minimum. everyone told me i was acting weird and were frowning at my sudden want to change.
Though i've given up, i must say that i had put in quite a lot of effort not to be myself much. To be that much nicer and to be that much more tactful is quite tiring. I'm a generally a friendly person though in some cases when i meet people, i tend to be overly hostile or too overly friendly that i irk everyone i just met. I talk too much. really. my ability to yabber on amazes/disgusts (whichever way u want to see it; its all subjected to opinion) everyone...even myself.
In my attempt to be nicer, i had become that much more boring. either that or i found myself in boring conversations that much more. awkward silences were more avid in my conversations and my face tired a lot more easily from all the smiling tt i had to do from my usual blank/dry look. My moods can vary extremely. im either not serious at all...or too bloody serious.
I have been a hypocrite. so much so that i disgust myself. esp recently. I tell people that i don't go for looks and i priorly look for character. Which is, to a large extent true because tho ima huge guy-watcher, i do value character more and so if u look rather decent, i'm sold. But yet, if i feel like i can't even look at you for 5 mins straight, i'd cross you from my list immediately.
Re-reading what i just typed in the above paragraph, i realised how bloody hypocritical and shallow i am but well. that's me. Amazingly, i do have a network of friends that i love alot. and who i hope love me alot too. But somehow, everytime i think that, i see people..well..virtually EVERYONE smiling and grinning at my funeral. The only ones who are crying are the ones whom i borrowed money from. quite a sad notion is it not? no wonder they say that the imagination can either be a gift or a curse, for it can either alleviate you or bring down to the 18 level of Hades.
