I havent been updating alot cuz nth of significant interest has come up and i dont think its fair for anyone reading to be updated abt something really boring. (not tt alot of things i have written are very interesting) and i figure it wldnt be fair to my memory if i rmb the minor specks of life tho i must say, sometimes those are the times u miss the most.

these past 2 days have been hectic. cuz i volunteered to help out with the chingay. i and cheryl signed up longago to be motivators/"street rockers" last year but somehow we werent referred to anythign after that. so heck. so when pple were prompted to sign up as ushers, i and cheryl, along with majority of the rest of the class, volunteered. preview yesterday, parade today. and i did different jobs on both days. aisle usher on the first and ticketing on the 2nd. and on both days i had to take the NR home. tt's like six fucking dollars in total. -sigh-

anyway. it was a great experience. now tt my period's over i'm more patient with people and everything. its a good thing they didnt catch me just rite before it. hahaha. or there'd be hell to pay. anyway. the chingay parade isnt really /that/ spectacular. i mean. if tt's asia's grandest parade or the parade of dreams. den well. pffbt. it doesnt live up to its name. i guess in a way it's cuz singaporean audience arent really part of the show. when they're watching, they really just watch. no wonder singapore needs redundant things like the really really really sucky cheers and the motivators. not tt they didnt do a good job of course but really. u dun see motivators in other parades overseas.

well okay i dunno if u do. i've only been to local parades. pffbt. but still. -hnuh-

anyway. i learnt alot abt the service of ushers and ticket staff. and i learnt tt ushers (at least in the chingay) have a hell lot easier job than the ticket staff. esp if we have no barricade. and suay suay. i get the side with no barricade. so we had to form a human one. and u have no fucking idea how DIFFICULT singaporeans can be. they dun seem to get tt they can't enter if they dun have a ticket. and they seem to keep asking if they can just go right behind the half laners. sigh. and worst. i have to keep saying thank you for it.

and the sly dogs just keep slowly inching forward. and they dun seem to understand what move back means. or what clear the way means. sigh. and one couple even asked another couple on their way home if they can have their tickets. and the couple actually agreed! i cldnt believe it. and after that. we had to admit them cuz they had tickets. sigh.

i think they see we small kids so its okays to bully us a little. they only really listened to our sector personnel and when i threatened to set security on them if they didnt cooperate. but i actually really just kept my temper most of the time. i was pretty good natured abt it. ushers have it SO MUCH EASIER.

all we really do when we usher is help them to locate their seats and everything. and once the crowd settles in. it's really quite fine. and u get to catch almost ALL of the show. in fact u really only miss like 10mins of it. and u get to sit. i really pei fu those who did ticketing both times. the amt of patience they must have. but one of the pple working with me today lost his temper pretty easily. but i guess i wld have too if i was pmsing.

anyway. today after the parade, on our way back to NYC, i fucking fell like flat on my face. well not so much face as chest. i think i'm almost as flat as yeuai now. hahaha. almost but not quite. hur. its been sucha long time since i've fallen so badly. my shoulder's scraped and so is right shin and i was wearing JEANS. so yeah -_-" it was pretty bad. and the position i feel in was terrible. damnit.

after signing out, i went to the street party with some of my classmates. and... it was SHIT boring. the music wasnt outstanding. the crowd was so lifeless. they basically just stood around and pissed in their shoes (okay the latter isnt quite true). SINGAPOREANS. sigh.

cheryl's been pretty moody nowadays. i hope she's okays. =/ she's pretty stressed out by sch work. esp math. we feel like idiots. we're failing at math. sigh. and the CTs are coming. frig. oh damnit i just rmbed. valentine's is like 10 days away and i have no date. fuck. =/ YEUAI. I WANT YOUYOUYOUYOUYOUUUUU. hahaha. cuz if ai aint got yeu, u'd be called lim ai. hahaha. ;)
