this miracle happened today..
#262: EIGHT HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-EIGHT SINGAPORE DOLLARS! SGD$888!
You must be wondering what the heck I'm talking about in my blog title.
That is the price for a week long holiday in the Gold Coast. (Or so says 8days magazine).
Coincidentally, that is also the price for a ticket to the best seats in the house for a concert in the Singapore Indoor Stadium on the 27th January 2007.

THAT'S FUCKING NUTS! I HAVE TO SAY THIS!!!! IT'S FUCKING NUTS!!! The cheapest ticket actually goes for SGD$188 which goes on to SGD$288, SGD$388, SGD$488, SGD$688 then on to SGD$888. Who the hell can afford it? I, for one, cannot and I assume many teenagers who are besotted with the man is likely to scream in anguish when they do get wind of this news.
Heck, I only /like/ the man for his role in Full House and I *wanted* to go. What about all those "K-Pop Suckers" (quoted from Yeu) who actually worship the man?!?! ISN'T IT AWFUL?!?!?! *I'm* so stunned by the news. I can't imagine their reactions. I MEAN HE'S ONLY KOREAN!!! MUST HE CHARGE HIS ASIAN FANS SO MUCH!!!! WAUGH!!!
Just so you know, Gennie, this is really all lingering post-Full House adoration. BUT YAGYAGYAGYAGYAG!!!!
Anyway, on another issue that brings me much chagrin, is the fact that I suspect Singapore VCD/DVD Importers have something against Kim Rae Won. Why? HIS SHOWS NEVER HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLES (aside from LSIH of course)!!!
Singapore happily brings in his new show "Which Star Are You From" (which I am trying to get my hands on -coughcoughnudgenudge-) but neglects to bring in the DVD where they have ENGLISH subtitles. So Mandarin Retards like myself have no idea how the heck we can enjoy the show the legal way!!! Same goes with Attic Cat. They have the VCD in stores with Mandarin subtitles (in conventional Mandarin no less, with the manymanymany strokes when I can barely grasp simplified Mandarin as it is) but not English subtitles!
SO CAN YOU REALLY BLAME ME?!?!?! -aghast- I'm driven to desperate measures!!!!
On a happier note to conclude, I found "The Classic" (a really really good Korean show; the best I've seen so far, I can safely claim) in VCD in the shops! Woooo! So I'm gonna get it by end of the week to add to my collection. Don't worry Gennie! I already watched it before so I don't need to spend studying time on it. And I'll loan it to you when you get back. Unlike dramedies, they don't take up 18 hours but just 2!!! Cheers!
